Hal Ross Perrigard was born in Montreal, Canada on January 3, 1891. He received instruction from William Brymmer and Maurice Cullen at the Royal Canadian Academy School. By 1913 Perrigard's works were being exhibited at the Art Association of Montreal and in 1915 at the Royal Canadian Academy (ARCA 1924). Summers were spent at his Rockport, Massachusetts studio from 1923 until his death in Montreal, April 23 1960. He was a member of the following art societies: The Art Club of Montreal; Rockport Art Association; North Shore Artist Association of Gloucester and Artist Guild of Canada.
